Casbah Cafe in Los Angeles

Photograph: Here I was sitting at one of the outdoor tables at the Casbah Cafe on Sunset Blvd. My iced coffee was good, if a little strong. Iced drinks are all the rage in Los Angeles given the climate. A hot new variation on the iced coffee is the boba drink. Boba are these large tapioca balls that the baristas drop into the bottom of your iced coffee or iced tea. They’re really tasty. You just suck the balls up in the really wide straw. Boba is also known as bubble tea.
